As a part of Government's focus on celebrating and commemorating important aspects of country's rich history and culture, Republic Day Celebrations will now begin every year from 23rd January instead of 24th.
The step was taken to include the birth anniversary of freedom fighter Subash Chandra Bose.
It is celebrated as Parakram Divas across the country.

31st October - Ekta Divas-National Unity Day which is a Birth anniversary of Sardar Patel.
15th November - Janjatiya Gaurav Divas which is birth anniversary of Bhagwan Birsa Munda.
26th November - Constitution Day
26th December - Veer Baal Divas to pay tribute to four Sahibzadas.
